  Purbeck Stone is a hard durable sedimentary limestone, quarried on the Isle of Purbeck, near Dorset's Jurassic Coast, in the South of England.

It is idealy suited as a building stone, and is used for House Building, Retaining Walls, Landscaping, Water Features, Garden Walling, Paving Flags and Flooring. Purbeck Stone takes a good polish and can also be used internaly for tiling, fireplaces and shelving.

The Purbeck beds were laid down aproximatley 140 million years ago, at a time when Dinosaurs walked the earth.
